English Grade VIII - Saturday, 11 April 2020

Hello guys,
How are you today?
I hope that you are happy, healthy and excited to learn from there.
I miss you around the school, anyway.

Today we are going to discuss about SHORT MESSAGE

Please prepare:
your note book, pen or pencil, a dictionary

Here's what we are going to do today:

  1. Watch the video about short message here
  2. Read the information on my page here
  3. Do vocabulary search
  4. Do the exercise
  5. Finish the lesson
Should you have any questions, you can contact me through Whatsapp Group discussion.

OK! Let's start. Please watch this video.

So, that's some explanation about short message. I think you are familiar with that. When we cannot meet each other face to face, we can send messages through many platforms we have, such as WhatsApp, SMS, Direct Message, Inbox or else.

Are you familiar with these abbreviations? Sometimes we use them in our message, right?

Short message is a functional text. We can learn more about its purpose from this picture.

Briefly, there are three parts of a short message:
  1. receiver
  2. content
  3. sender
Now, please take your note and do this vocabulary search. You will find the words on the exercise later. Write them down on your book
Now, it's time for you to do the exercise. You have enough time, so do it carefully. Don't rush.
You can do it here or  CLICK HERE

Wish you all the best. See you soon.
